Manufactured stone is an engineered surface created using mineral-based formulations and advanced binding technologies. Both offer excellent durability but differ in appearance, fabrication requirements and performance characteristics.
Yes. Porcelain is highly resistant to heat, staining, moisture and UV exposure, making it well suited to kitchen benchtops, splashbacks, vanities and a wide range of other applications.

Porcelain offers exceptional resistance to heat, scratches and staining. However, while extremely durable, no surface is completely damage-proof. We recommend using chopping boards and avoiding impact from heavy objects to help preserve the surface.
Porcelain is non-porous and does not require sealing.
Absolutely. Large format porcelain creates seamless splashbacks with minimal grout lines and can be installed behind both gas and induction cooktops, subject to appliance manufacturer requirements.
Yes. Porcelain is UV stable and suitable for many outdoor applications including outdoor kitchens, wall cladding and entertainment areas.
Porcelain can be fabricated with radiused corners and curved end profiles. However, unlike natural stone and engineered stone, it cannot be bent to create fully curved or wrapped benchtops due to its ultra-compact composition.
Porcelain is extremely dense and technically demanding to work with. Precision cutting, mitres and detailing require specialised machinery and experienced fabricators to achieve a high-quality result.
