Showroom Consultation FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to book an appointment?

We recommend booking a showroom consultation to ensure one of our team members is available to guide you through the selection process. This allows us to dedicate time to understanding your project and provide tailored recommendations based on your requirements.

My project is only small. Can you still help?

Absolutely. While AMU Stone regularly delivers large-scale residential and commercial projects, many of the projects we complete are kitchen renovations, bathroom vanities, laundries, fireplaces and smaller residential upgrades.

Whether you’re selecting a single vanity top or specifying stone throughout an entire development, you’ll receive the same level of service, expertise and attention to detail from our team.

What happens during a showroom consultation?

Your consultation is an opportunity to explore materials, discuss your project and compare options across natural stone, porcelain and manufactured stone surfaces. Our team will guide you through the selection process, explain the characteristics of different materials and help identify options suited to your design, application and budget.

What should I bring to my appointment?

If available, we recommend bringing any selections you have already made, including cabinetry samples, flooring, paint colours, tiles, tapware finishes, joinery drawings, plans or inspiration images. These items help us provide more informed recommendations and ensure all selections work cohesively together.

Which showroom should I visit?

Our Wodonga Showroom is ideal for clients wanting to explore material options, colours, finishes and applications across natural stone, porcelain and manufactured stone.

Our Wangaratta Selection Centre is home to the AMU Natural collection and large-format slab displays. If you are selecting natural stone and wish to view full slabs, Wangaratta is typically the most suitable location.

Can I view full slabs during my consultation?

Yes. Clients selecting natural stone can view full slabs at our Wangaratta Selection Centre. Viewing stone in its entirety allows you to appreciate the scale, movement and characteristics of the material prior to fabrication.

How long does a showroom consultation take?

Most consultations take between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on the stage of your project and the number of selections being considered.

Do I need to know what material I want before visiting?

No. Many clients visit before deciding between natural stone, porcelain or manufactured stone. Our team can explain the differences between materials and help determine the most suitable option for your project.

Can my builder, designer or cabinet maker attend?

Absolutely. We regularly conduct consultations with homeowners, builders, designers, architects and cabinet makers to ensure all project stakeholders are aligned throughout the selection process.
