Project Overview
Location: Wangaratta, North East Victoria
Project Type: Residential
This project brings together four distinct surfaces across multiple areas of the home, using contrast to connect each space. The dramatic movement of Titanium Extra granite forms the main feature, while Nero Assoluto Zimbabwe introduces a deep, polished black through the surrounding kitchen and entertaining areas.
In the bathrooms and laundry, the palette shifts lighter, with Alpine White and Himalaya Crystal creating a softer contrast while maintaining a consistent material palette throughout the home.
The Solution
Material Used: Titanium Extra Polished Granite + Nero Assoluto Zimbabwe Polished Granite + Quantum Zero Alpine White + Neolith Himalaya Crystal
Titanium Extra polished granite was selected as the feature stone, with its dramatic black, gold and white movement showcased across the kitchen island. The island’s unique angular form required precise fabrication, mitred detailing and careful vein placement to carry the movement of the stone across each face. The result is a sculptural centrepiece that highlights both the natural character of the granite and the craftsmanship involved in its fabrication.
The same stone was carried into the bar splashback, fireplace and TV unit, creating a series of statement features throughout the main living and entertaining spaces.
Nero Assoluto Zimbabwe polished granite provides a strong contrast across the kitchen surround benchtops and splashback, continuing through the butler’s pantry, wine cabinet and alfresco. Its deep black finish allows the movement of Titanium Extra to remain the focus while connecting the darker elements throughout the home.
In the wet areas, Quantum Zero Alpine White was used for the laundry benchtop and bathroom and ensuite vanities. Neolith Himalaya Crystal was introduced across the bathroom and ensuite walls and vanity splashbacks, adding soft natural movement against the clean white surfaces and warm timber cabinetry.
