Gateway Hotel | Wangaratta
A bold commercial application of natural stone, with Super White Dolomite used extensively throughout the Gateway Hotel in Wangaratta.
Set against the venue’s dark interior palette, the stone brings contrast and movement, with its distinctive grey veining becoming a strong visual feature throughout the space.

Bar
Super White Dolomite is the hero of the main bar, wrapping the expansive bar front and continuing across the benchtops. The scale of the application allows the natural variation and movement within the stone to become a defining feature of the space.
The stone continues into the illuminated bar splashbacks, where the dramatic veining creates a striking backdrop to the shelving and contrasts against the surrounding black finishes.
Fireplace
Super White Dolomite is also carried through to the fireplace, creating another strong stone feature and connecting the different areas of the hotel through a consistent material palette.
Tables
Custom Super White Dolomite tabletops are positioned throughout the venue, bringing the natural stone beyond the main architectural features and into the smaller details of the interior.
Used across multiple applications, the project demonstrates how one natural stone can create continuity throughout a large commercial space while still making an impact in its own right.
